  • Summary: The VP provides the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure that the Enterprise IT Service Management Practice has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, people and systems in place to effectively grow the practice and to ensure financial stability and operating efficiency.  The VP will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the operational aspects of the practice budget. The VP provides leadership to the strategic planning process, implements new operational strategic initiatives that fosters coordination for the senior management team, and serves as liaison to OBXtek’s partners.


Duties and Responsibilities:   

  • Responsible for the development of the practice mission, vision, objectives and goals.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and management of the practice and the projects assigned to the practice that mirrors the adopted mission and core values of the company
  • Responsible for obtaining a Satisfactory or Above CPAR rating for all projects assigned to the practice.
  • Responsible for establishing an Enterprise IT Service Management Practice working group to develop expertise, best practices, standards, methods, training, skills, products / tools, white papers, solution papers, assist in RFI/RFP responses, assist in building pipeline.
  • Responsible and accountable for Profit and Loss for the practice.
  • Increase practice growth by identifying and participating with opportunity capture that aligns to the practice.
  • Identify skills needed for the practice and the contracts and develop a training plan to obtain and maintain those skills.
  • Establish battle rhythm / communications plan with each PM within the practice for meetings, assistance, IPRs, customer visits, etc.
  • Ensure staffing levels are maintained across the practice.
  • Responsible for meeting or exceeding assigned goals and objectives identified in the OBXtek Strategic and Tactical Plans
  • Lead, coach, develop, and retain OBXtek’s high-performance individuals and teams with emphasis on developing growth across the practice
  • Recruits, hires, orients, leads and evaluates performance of all PMs within the practice
  • Sets clear expectations and provides timely and relevant feedback to PMs



  • Solid domain knowledge of ITIL, ITSM, government contracts, operations, project management.
  • Must possess strong managerial and leadership skills, interpersonal skills, the ability to coordinate among multiple contracts, consisting of many employees across CONUS and OCONUS
  • Proactive with a strong sense of urgency to drive results
  • Excellent group process facilitation skills
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Comfortable in an influence role to bring about improvement and change
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across divisions, functions and levels


  • Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably with a Business concentration
  • ITIL Certification, preferably at the expert level
  • Minimum 7 years of program management experience managing multiple projects through subordinate project managers
  • Minimum 7 years’ successful experience in programs implementing ITIL/ITSM best practices
  • 7 years’ experience with government contracts
  • 7 years’ experience managing a multi-contractor environment
  • 7 years’ staff management experience through subordinate supervisors;
