Responsibilities

OBXtek is currently staffing for a Security Systems Engineer II on the PLMSS-ITIPS contract at Scott AFB in Illinois. This SSE II will be experienced in ensuring the integration of IT programs and services, developing and managing IT program security accreditation related to Information Assurance (IA) requirements.

The qualified candidate selected for this position will perform these duties:

  • will support development projects from design to support
  • will evaluate effectiveness of installed systems and services
  • will advise on solutions on a range of IT issues.
  • will support implementation of security programs designed to anticipate, assess, and minimize system vulnerabilities
  • will coordinate implementation of security programs across platforms and establishes vulnerability reporting criteria
  • will review security risk reports, security system threat assessments and system security management and provide recommendations to the Program Manager (PM).
  • Will prepare POA&Ms and track the Authorization To Operate (ATO), Interim Authorization To Operate (IATO) and other Certification and Accreditation (C&A) documents through the approval process.
  • Will provide the PM technical assistance to address system security requirements IAW National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), DODI 8500.1; DoD 8500.2, DODI 8510.01 and other applicable security directives or policies.
  • Will provide trend analysis and recommendations to the PM on security constraints and industry best practices. 
 

Qualifications

Secret Clearance required.

 

Experienced using Government tools (e.g. eMASS) and supporting program accreditations both under DIACAP and RMF.

 

Bachelor's Degree in IA, IT or a related major and 3+ years' related experience.

 

CISSP desired.
