Responsibilities

OBXtek is looking for a Junior Administrative Professional for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), National Continuity Programs (NCP) Business Management Division (BMD). This position will be directly supporting the Assets Management Branch in the inventory and tracking of NCP/BMD property, to include assisting in the development of processes to ensure accountability and compliance with regulatory and statutory oblications. Specific position requirements include: 

  • Reconciliation of discrepancies between the official FEMA property system and NCP procurement records, custody receipts, and internal spreadsheets and databases, 

  • Ensuring all contractors and government employees comply with agency policies regarding property accountability,

  • Preparation of an annual inventory of FEMA owned property at all of the Regional Offices, State Emergency Operations Centers, and US Territories,

  • Development of processes for capturing government-owned property data at future locations,

  • Administrative assistance to the Project Manager with the disposition of FEMA-owned equipment once the property has reached its "useful life,” 

  • Ensuring government furnished property is returned at the conclusion of the applicable contract/order, and

  •  Assisting in the creation of AMB related PowerPoint presentations 

     

**Clearance Level Required: Top Secret w/ SCI Eligibility 

Qualifications

Must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain and retain a US DoD Top Secret Clearance

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:

Associates degree or equivalent experience

Certifications / Licenses: None

 

EXPERIENCE:

Must have at least 3+ years of related logistics and administrative experience and meet the following requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience in logistics. FEMA and USG logistics highly preferred.
  • An understanding of government property management
  • Experience conducting turn-in of USG equipment
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products in a business setting
