    OBXtek is currently looking for a candidate to perform as Senior Business Analyst defining software development project system requirements and design specifications, performing writing and editing of technical documents, and analyzing project management artifacts and utilizing graphic and spreadsheet packages.


    • Translates requirements into clear, concise software product design specifications.
    • Writes and edits technical software development project documentation to include manual, procedures, training materials.
    • Supports rapid application development projects involving programming written in Delphi code
    • Supports projects utilizing BusinessObjects BI XI R2 and Business Objects Enterprise XI 4.0 where Business Objects Universes are used to represent data in the data warehouse or transactional databases.
    • Supports project management activities to ensure that projects meet cost, schedule, and performance requirements.
    • Gathers, analyzes, and composes technical information required for preparation of security documentation, handbooks, manuals, training materials, guides, reports, etc.
    • Analyzes the business issues and data challenges of client's organization and industry.
    • Identifies client organization's strengths and weaknesses and suggests areas of improvement.
    • Reviews and edits requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solution.
    • Develops functional specifications and system design specifications for project engagements.
    • Analyzes software development documents and related project documents to confirm end customer is receiving the application and system requirements to fulfill the business needs being requested.
    • Attends and contributes to all cross-application alignment meetings and meets frequently with project sponsors and the application teams.
    • Works with authorized personnel, internal and external customers, and application teams to understand business requirements for IT related projects.
    • Interfaces with project clients and application teams through the project life cycle to insure that project schedules are being met and that any changes to the project scope or schedule are accommodated in the project plan
    • Resolves schedule conflicts by contributing solutions to the team.
    • Translates technical information into clear, readable documents to be used by technical and non-technical personnel.
    • Validates and verifies procedural data contained in existing documents and manuals.
    • Composes, writes, and edits a variety IT documents.
    • Ensures a central depository is maintained for IT operational documentation.
    • Prepares technical reports and project related documentation including test instructions and associated procedures.
    • Takes and transcribes meeting minutes for distribution to participants.
    • Ensure content and links are up-to-date for operational policies and procedures.


    • Experience working on at least three large (10+ project personnel) projects
    • 10 years on projects that used Delphi for software development
    • Experience working on an Agile software development project
    • Experience on a project that involved use of BusinessObjects software
    • Experience defining software development requirements and design specifications
    • Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
    • Proven ability to meet cost, schedule, and performance requirements for projects.
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and leadership skills
