    Responsibilities

    OBXtek is looking for a Project Managment Office Specialist to join our growing PMO. The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of experience working as a PMO specialist, project coordinator, or project manager for a mid-size to large company. Initiative, attention to detail, and solid PMBOK foundation will serve you well in your application. Interest in continual improvement, learning, and growth will ensure you fit in seamlessly with our team. Having a sense of humor doesn't hurt, either.

    • Assist with project setup & metrics reporting.
    • Establish report formats for project and deliverable tracking, prepare periodic project status reports and present reports defining project progress, problems and solutions.
    • Track project deliverables using appropriate tools.
    • Ensure that meaningful documentation is completed correctly.
    • Maintain documentation library or database to define standards, examples, project documents & electronic Project Files
    • Prepare periodic status reports, activity trackers, and checklists.
    • Work with the PMO on process development and training, identify process improvement opportunities, lead proof of concept, assist in standardizing and streamlining the project management process.
    • Collaborate with functional areas to ensure efficient and smooth functioning of project management processes.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree from an Accredited Institution
    • Minimum three years' experience in a PMO or as a project or portfolio manager or coordinator.
    • Working knowledge of Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)
    • Working knowledge of Project Management Information Systems
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Attention to detail is critical
    • Ability to team and partner with a broad set of internal customers to deliver improvement in multiple areas of project management
    • Ability to work cross functionally and encourage cooperation among different departments
    • Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio, and Project
    • Basic Excel data analysis experience required

     

    Preferred Skills

    • 5+ years of PMO or project management experience
    • PMP Certification
    • Introduction to lean and agile methodologies
    • Data analysis and presentation skills
    • Experience with Adobe InDesign
