    Responsibilities

    OBXtek is currently staffing for a Budget Analyst support for Headquarters United States Army Central (USARCENT) at Shaw, AFB.  USARCENT is responsible for theater wide Financial Management (FM) in the Central Command (CENTCOM) Area of Responsibility (AOR). USARCENT provides Title 10 support to all United States Army Forces (USARFOR) personnel within theater.  

     

    The Budget Analyst duties and responsibilities include:

    • Manage, track, and forecast financial needs. Conduct audits to ensure budget within legal and administrative constraints.
    • Prepare and staff contract packets for the USARCENT Coalition Acquisition Review Board (CARB) or other requirements review process. Prepare and manage contract packets in cASM.
    • Research, prepare, and manage contract requirements information. Manage trackers, create reports, and provide recommendations, courses of action, and/or decision options as required.
    • Research and prepare Operational Needs Statements (ONS).
    • Prepare budget requests, manage budget programs, and monitor funding allocations in support of various contingency operations.
    • Provide technical support and advise decision makers on a variety of contract management, budget, and financial matters.
    • Perform cost benefit analyses and evaluate alternate courses of action.
    • Research and consolidate data required for the formulation of budget requests and the preparation of financial plans; collaborate with other analysts as required. Collect and provide data for recurring and ad hoc financial reviews.
    • Liaise with the USARCENT G8 and share pertinent information to the budget and finance area. Coordinate and present recommendations and financial data monthly at the USARCENT Working Program Budget Advisory Committee (WPBAC) and other resource management meetings.
    • Provide reports and work with DoD financial systems of records, including but not limited to cASM, GFEBS, and DTS.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Government contracting or resource management.
    • Must have knowledge of the Government budget cycle, budgetary regulations and guidelines, and the contracting process.
    • Must have experience with cASM and GFEBS.
    • Ability to obtain Secret clearance
