  • Overview

    Supports iterative and full lifecycle software development projects.  Solutions include integration of web services, APIs and SOA; development of search projects utilizing tools such as Apache SOLR and ElasticSearch; utilization of MySQL and Wikemedia Wiki software, Java and C# programming and use of tools such as Eclipse, Maven, Grunt, Visual Studio and Git. Performs software development and maintenance of software applications.


    • Performs design, development, engineering, integration, and architecture of systems and applications
    • Performs software analysis, design, programming, testing and deployment
    • Supports planning and conversions of new software applications
    • Performs software testing and troubleshooting
    • Utilizes and maintain software coding standards
    • Provides recommendations for software application optimization
    • Performs object-oriented software programming utilizing Java/J2EE and .NET framework
    • Executes all phases of the software development life cycle
    • Identifies strategic solutions and integrates solutions in support of IT projects.
    • Formulates and defines application requirements documentation.
    • Translates technical information into clear, readable documents to be used by technical and non-technical personnel.
    • Evaluates new IT products and/or services and recommend changes to existing products or services to better aide the end-user community.
    • Develops and applies advanced engineering and design methods, theories, and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced system requirements, hardware/software interfaces and applications, and solutions.
    • Obtains hardware and software quotes from vendors for the procurement of maintenance contracts as well as new hardware and software purchases as requested.


    • Five (5) years of experience supporting Information Technology projects and operations and performing software design and development
    • Experience in iterative software development
    • Experience integrating solutions with web services, APIs or SOA
    • Experience with Section 508 compliance
    • Experience using search support tools such as Apache SOLR or ElasticSearch
    • Experience with social media implementations
    • Experience with C# and JavaScript
    • Experience with case management systems
    • Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
    • Proven ability to meet cost, schedule, and performance requirements for projects.
    • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and leadership skills
