OBXtek is currently staffing for an Information Systems Staff Officer at Fort Huachuca, AZ to provide acquisition support, contract support, fielding management, quality assurance surveillance plan (QASP) operations, government furnished equipment (GFE) provisioning, project management, communications, and engineering services to the Product Lead Enterprise Computing (PL EC), and, specifically, to the Project Officer, Army Enterprise Service Desk (PO AESD).
The job will entail the following activities:
> Apply laws, policies, directives, and guidance to acquisitions throughout the total life-cycle.
> Conduct or support requirements analysis, design, development, performance measurement, procurement, lease, outsourcing, verification and validation, certification and accreditation, installation, transition, operations, support, and, where applicable, disposal by applying technical as well as program/project management skills.
> Support development and application of proven acquisition strategies and procurement planning, solicitation, award, and monitoring.
> Apply information technology to support business processes such as those that enable e-government.
> Direct and coordinate activities of IS Department.
> Consult with management to determine data processing requirements.
> Apply knowledge of system capacity to determine feasibility of projects.
> Maintain current knowledge of new hardware and software and recommends upgrading to maintain efficient operation.
> Schedule and assigns work to programmers.
> Perform analysis of department production and redesign workflow if appropriate.
> Technical skills include systems engineering, component engineering, software engineering, computer engineering, and electronics engineering. Support compliance of the acquisition with the Global Information Grid (GIG) architecture, C4I Support Plan, Information Assurance, and other information management policies addressed in DoD 5000 and 8000 series.
ACTIVE DOD SECRET CLEARANCE required.
Seven (7) years of related experience
Deep Understanding of service desk operations
Strong knowledge of Army acquisitions
Travel requirements: Up to 10%
