Responsibilities

OBXtek is staffing for a Junior Human Resource Benefits Specialist for U.S. Customs and Border Protection. 

 

The Office of Human Resources Management (HRM) at Customs and Border Patrol, Benefits, Medical, and Worklife Division (BM&W), Retirement and Benefits Advisory Services Branch (RABAS) mission is to support U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Benefits, Medical, and Worklife Division and employees by providing high-quality services, which meet their administrative, and human resources needs.

 

The HR Specialist shall:

 

* Be experienced and familiar with one or more areas of human resources support functions in a federal environment.

 

* Have knowledge of Retirement and Benefit plan fundamentals.

 

* Have knowledge in aspects of Federal Human Resource program for functional areas assigned as well as a solid grounding in file organization, disposition/retention policies and maintenance procedures for files.

Qualifications

Will be required to go through a Public Trust background check through DHS.

 

  • Must have Federal HR background
  • Must have administrative skills relevant to HR operations, including alpha/numeric filing skills and fluently with office equipment as well as ability to use the computer and software comparable with the office.
  • Must possess strong oral and written communication capabilities.
  • Familiarity of Retirement and Benefits programs.
  • Experienced in other long- and short-term projects with minimal supervision.

 

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree OR 1-3 years of experience within Human Resources.

 

Covid vaccination is required.
