Responsibilities

OBXtek is currently staffing for a SharePoint Architect responsible for producing requirements, developing SharePoint content and workflows, deploying those solutions, and providing Tier 3 support for customers. The SharePoint Architect plays a critical role in defining and delivering innovative web oriented solutions utilizing Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010/2013/2016, Windows SharePoint Services 3.0/4.0, SharePoint Designer 2010/2013/2016, and supporting Microsoft .Net Technologies, including C#. The SharePoint Architect will be responsible for the management of the SharePoint infrastructure and the development of the system architecture, design, and solution implementations for the SharePoint system environments in support of the business initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop solution architectures and implementation designs in support of the Client’s business-technology initiatives.
  • Provide technical and analytical guidance, developing and defining business and technical requirements and solution designs as part of defined projects.
  • Implement SharePoint system solutions, including programming backend and frontend components extending the SharePoint environment/system capabilities.
  • Lead technical design and development, evaluating and troubleshooting functional design and system architecture, component and framework programming, as well as playing a key role in the technical decision process.
  • Develop and present conceptual and functional innovation prototypes for assessment and evaluation.
  • Manage and maintain the Client’s SharePoint system environments.
  • Lead SharePoint system technical analysis and design employing model and event driven design practices including conceptual and functional prototypes, data analysis, and architectural and functional testing.
  • Develop product functional and technical requirements and design documents and specifications based on business requirements.
  • Lead SharePoint solution development, and implementation efforts, providing technical design, system and architectural prototyping, and component development.
  • Create web oriented applications, developing coding constructs, frameworks, components and interfaces supported by the SharePoint environment.
  • Shape the strategy, architecture, methodology and standards for delivering SharePoint solutions.
  • Provide technical governance and security over the SharePoint environments.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Must be a US Citizen and have a current / active security clearance at Top Secret with SCI access.
  • Immediate family members must also be US Citizens (immediate family is defined as Mother, Father, Brother, Sister, Spouse, Children, or co-habitant).

 

Skills:

  • 6+ years SharePoint 2010/2013/2016 architecture, design, development and implementation experience.
  • 6+ years of experience building web based systems with the Microsoft .Net technology stack employing the best practices of SOA architecture using C#, VB.Net, ASP.Net, with SQL backend databases.
  • 6+ years of Object Oriented development and design (OOD)
  • Experience with implementing best practice SharePoint information architectures, workflows and mobile applications.
  • Experienced with Microsoft SQL Server, T-SQL, Stored Procedures & Triggers.
  • Experience using full lifecycle development methodologies with web based applications.
  • Experience integrating with backed operational and content management systems.
  • Experience working on component based applications including web services, application integration, patterns, and data access development.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Technology Stack including .Net Framework, C#, VB.Net, ADO.Net, ASP.Net.
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint technologies MOSS 2010/2013, Windows SharePoint Services 3.0/4.0, SharePoint Designer, Portals and Web Part Development.
  • Experience with web development technologies HTML, XHTML, XML, XSLT, Flash, CSS, Ajax, JQuery, JavaScript, SOAP/XML Web Services, and Silverlight
  • Experience with utilizing source management control tools for managing development, staging, test and production environments
  • Experience with IT architectures, application, database, and technical

 

Education/Certifications:

 

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree (preferable) or equivalent work experience in information systems or related field.
  • Microsoft SharePoint Certification (MCSE/MCSD)
  • GSEC, Sec+, SSCP, or CCNA-Security required. CISA, GCED, CISSP, CASP, or GCIH will also meet/exceed this requirement.
