Responsibilities

OBXtek is currently staffing for a Senior Computer User Support Specialist to work in the Jacksonville, Florida district office of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

 

The tasks for this position are to include, but not be limited, to the following:

  • Deliver 24/7/365 IT technical support to approved seat service USACE end users at 1650 different CONUS and OCONUS locations and sites to ensure proper configuration, installation, and maintenance of data input/output devices to include 40,000 laptops/tablets/workstations, 13,000 mobile devices, 32,000 VOIP devices, monitors, printers, scanners, copiers, cabling, external data storage devices, and network interface devices
  • Experience providing Tier 2 IT support
  • Experience supporting Windows 7, Windows 10, and MS Office 2013 Microsoft Office 365
  • Experience using Remedy or a similar ticketing system
  • Strong analytical and follow through skills
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to coordinate and get cooperation from multiple areas within IT to accomplish assignments
  • Ability to work well independently on defined tasks
  • Ability to work well as part of a team
  • Experience providing IT technical support to approved end users to ensure proper configuration, installation, and maintenance of laptops/tablets/workstations, mobile devices, VOIP devices, monitors, printers, scanners, copiers, cabling, external data storage devices, and network interface devices 
  • Experience identifying, logging and tracking user issues, software conflicts and hardware device conflicts through IT incident ticketing system; providing resolution and/or escalating to next Tier for assistance
  • Updating and maintaining a knowledge base for investigating, diagnosing, and resolving incidents as applicable

Desired Skills:

  • Experience maintaining Lexmark, HP, or Ricoh printer devices (i.e. installing maintenance kits)
  • Prior USACE/ACE-IT experience
  • Experience working in a DoD environment
  • Experience supporting Office 365

Qualifications

Active SECRET Clearance

 

EDUCATION/ CERTIFICATION: 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 4+ years of relevant Help Desk Technician Tier 2 work experience

In addition, DoD 8570 IAT Level I required (IAT Level II Preferred)
