Responsibilities

OBXtek is supporting the US Space Force, Space Systems Command, the MIlitary Communication and Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (MilComm & PNT) Directorate (SSC/CG) with a broad range of financial management capabilities to execute effective and responsive integrated program management of space-related research, development, production, and lifecycle acquisition activities.

 

This opening is for a Budget Analyst, who will:

  • Provide a broad range of financial management, in particular assisting with Government budget integration, for the Space Systems Command. This includes all aspects of Planning, Programming, Budget, and Execution (PPBE) and Commitment/Obligation/Expenditure Reconciliation; Execution and Audit Readiness; and Budget Authority Management.
  • Provide Subject Matter Expertise and support for budgets, foreign military sales funding, other foreign Government funding, and International Partner Agreements, as well as assist with the timely and accurate analysis, forecast, and reporting of commitment, obligation, and expenditure data.

 

Candidate resumes should demonstrate experience with collecting, normalizing, and inputting data, cost modeling, performing in-depth research, reconciling complex data/information across multiple systems and reports, utilization of complex software in the development of analytical models, interpreting results to generate multiple recommended courses of action, comprehending and applying concepts/guidance, successful implementation of instructions/policies into routine performance, and developing tools/applications to foster efficiency in day-to-day activities.

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Salary Range: $80k - $115k

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Active Secret Clearance required
  • Bachelors degree in a related financial field required
    • In lieu of a Bachelor’s Degree, an Associate's Degree + 4 years of work experience may be substituted, or an additional 6 years of work experience
  • 7-10 years of experience in financial management activities for government acquisitions (DoD, NASA, NRO, Industry)
  • 3+ years in support of space programs
