Responsibilities

OBXtek has an immediate opening for a Logistician SME to provide senior-level expertise in support of the U.S. Space Force, Space Systems Command Hemisphere contract. This is a high-impact role for a recognized industry leader with deep experience in lifecycle logistics, acquisition integration, and product support strategy development for complex, mission-critical systems.

As a trusted advisor to program leadership, you will shape logistics strategies that directly influence readiness, sustainment efficiency, and mission success. You will lead the development and integration of product support requirements that align with acquisition strategies and operational priorities—working closely with engineering, procurement, contracting, and sustainment teams to ensure all 12 Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements are addressed.

This position spans the entire system lifecycle—from design, development, testing, and production to deployment, maintenance, sustainment upgrades, and final disposition. You will oversee logistics for high-priority space and weapon systems, as well as advanced technology initiatives like DevSecOps rapid prototyping and rapid fielding—ensuring the U.S. Space Force maintains operational superiority and lifecycle cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical and programmatic support across all phases of the acquisition and sustainment lifecycle.
  • Develop product support strategies aligned with acquisition plans, identifying infrastructure, processes, and procedures to maintain system capabilities.
  • Integrate systems engineering design factors (reliability, maintainability, etc.) with IPS elements to determine resource needs.
  • Incorporate all 12 product support elements, procurement strategies, and budgeting considerations into fielding and sustainment planning.
  • Author and deliver product support requirements documents, ensuring logistics considerations are built into system acquisitions.
  • Partner with Government cross-functional teams to refine requirements, analyze data, and ensure compliance with statutory/regulatory mandates.
  • Oversee fielded system sustainment functions, ensuring operational capability of weapon systems, subsystems, and components.
  • Manage military airlift cargo operations using FACTS and DEAMS systems.
  • Support space systems initiatives, including DevSecOps, rapid prototyping, and rapid fielding.
  • Lead Technical Order Management and Maintenance Activities (TOMA), including strategy development, RFI/RFP/SOW/PWS participation, and coordination of reviews, working groups, and validation/verification events.

Location: El Segundo, CA

Travel: Less than 5% (occasional domestic travel only)

Salary Range: $150,000 – $200,000 (commensurate with experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations)

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Active TS/SCI clearance or TS/SCI eligibility
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline
  • 10+ years of relevant logistics experience in defense or aerospace programs
  • Proven expertise in lifecycle logistics, acquisition integration, and product support strategy development
