Responsibilities

OBXtek is staffing for a System Administrator, IV position supporting DHA - Geographic Service Providers (GPS) - Brooke Army Med Center (BAMC) PEO - Medical Systems J-6 organization. 

 

Serve as the System Administrator to support  all telecommunications activities. This resource shall have subject matter expertise in (Unified Critical Telecommunication Systems) such as nurse call, middleware transport, pocket pagers, and public address systems that intra-communicate supporting urgent and emergent staff within the facility.

Tasks include performing installation, troubleshooting and other administrative tasks associated with ongoing maintenance and enhancement of information systems and services. Performs systems planning, management, analysis, integration, installation and training tasks that include all aspects of preparing and implementing a highly complex and integrated array of hardware, software (applications and operating systems), networks and procedures. Perform updating, upgrading, security hardening and maintenance tasks on a variety of servers including physical, virtual and cloud based.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist with basic configuration, monitoring, troubleshooting, analysis, technical support, and repair of Desktop and Server systems, Disaster Recovery Systems switches, networks, video systems.
  • Conduct installs, upgrades and administers operating systems and application software in multi-user client/server environments, using Windows 11.
  • Provide users with system technical support by responding to IT help desk issues.
  • Maintain cross platform inter-connectivity for network services, authentication services, email services and Web services.
  • Perform systems planning, management, analysis, integration, installation and training tasks that include all aspects of preparing and implementing a highly complex and integrated array of hardware, software (applications and operating systems), networks and procedures.
  • Perform troubleshooting of server, network, desktop and software configurations.
  • Perform Help Desk actions – support existing staff in troubleshooting systems access, unlocking accounts, group policy, installation of updates and software, maintenance of computers, viewing vendor’s sites for updates, market research for Information Assurance equipment and supplies.
  • Remotely assist all off-site locations and users on software issues and updates; ensure adequate network connectivity, backups of network servers, setup and monitor all secure VTC sessions.ates, market research for Information Assurance equipment and supplies.

** Position is contingent upon contract award.

Qualifications

Active Public Trust, or ability to pass necessary background to acquire a Public Trust

 

Experience

 

Five (5) years or more experience in a major hospital supporting more than 100+ bed environment.
Five (5) years of experience supporting military production systems.
Ten (10) years of experience supporting Critical communication systems.

Education/Certification 

  • BA/BS from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science
  • CompTIA Sec +
  • Windows Server 2022
