The STAQSS III contract supports the Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition (SAF/AQ). The objective is to provide specialized expertise to complement the organization’s inherent resources for effective and efficient mission accomplishment and continuity, introduction of innovation, and enhancement of technical competence. The contractor shall support the entire spectrum of acquisition and sustainment efforts as necessary to support the respective Government organizations.
AQI, Information Dominance Programs Directorate, directs, plans, and programs for development, procurement, and product support of information dominance programs. It serves as the focal point within the HAF for information dominance matters associated with integrated product life cycle management and facilitates information dominance stakeholder collaboration in addressing lifecycle issues. The portfolio includes current and future: air and ground-based command and control (C2), including nuclear C2; Defense Business Systems, Enterprise Information Technology; Cyberspace Weapon Systems; manned and unmanned intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR); counter-C2 electronic warfare, air traffic control and landing systems; and networks and datalinks systems from concept and technology development through production, deployment, and sustainment.
The Acquisition Program Analyst, SME position directly supports HAF actions regarding the Air Force Airborne C2 portfolio, to include Program Element Monitor (PEM) support to E-7/Airborne C2 Portfolio, with predominance of effort dedicated to enabling successful acquisition of E-7A Wedgetail, a high-visibility tri-lateral (USA, United Kingdom, and Australia) airborne platform acquisition effort Additionally, this position supports E-8 Joint Surveillance Target Attack Radar System (JSTARS) & E-3 Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS), and other programs in Airborne C2 Portfolio. This individual must meet the qualifications for the SME position, as well as have a minimum of 10 years operational and/or flight test experience directly supporting airborne early warning and C2 platforms. Experience from other services and defense industry may be considered (for instance, Navy E-2 Hawkeye). This individual should have a deep familiarity with the Air Force requirements development and Strategy, Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (SPPBE) processes and have a firm understanding of the various organizations in the airborne C2 enterprise. A Weapons School and/or Test Pilot School graduate is highly desired. This position may be considered for special program access clearances. The tasks for this position include, but are not limited to, all tasks listed below as they pertain to the Airborne C2 program *This position is 100% onsite 5 days per week at the Pentagon.*
