Develops and implements plans, policies, and procedures for Air Force S&T, laboratory management, technology transition (to include Joint Capability Technology Demonstrations), Technology Cooperation Program, technology transfer, development planning (DP), and experimentation. The tasks for this position include:- Assessing stakeholder requirements and developing plans, policy, and procedures governing the interaction of the Chief Modeling and Simulation Office (CMSO) and Chief of Digital Engineering Office (CoDEO) in all acquisition phases of lifecycle management and sustainment of AF weapon systems. - Planning, developing, and managing the DAF Modeling and Simulation (M&S) stakeholders information platform technology (aka as Rolodex) process development/writing to include strategic planning, capital planning and investment control, workforce planning, standards development, resource management, knowledge management, architecture, infrastructure planning and management, as well as auditing. - Enables sharing of requirements across different mission sets and avoidance of redundancy in terms of investments.- Determining and coordinating stakeholders inputs to support policy, standards, and architectures development for the acquisition, implementation, and integration of Modeling and Simulation and Digital Engineering (DE) techniques and processes to enable simulation environments and other infrastructure supporting operations in all phases of life cycle management and sustainment of AF weapon systems. - Reviewing existing and proposed policy and processes documents that have stakeholder’s related (analysis, experimentation, training, test, intel, etc.) sections or could possibly impact AF enterprise M&S and DE policy. - Establishing and promoting consistency across validated M&S and DE in support of operational systems-level requirements concepts of operations (CONOPS) and architectures, ensuring all program technical activities are consistent with these system-level baseline documents. - Reviewing program technical approaches to identify M&S and DE where integration of material solutions or Tactics, Technics and Practices (TTP) for developmental and operational activities to improve resiliency of the entire system. - Reviewing of acquisition programs for integration and technical changes to programs to achieve better use of M&S and DE techniques to advance and modernize at the speed of relevance. - Assessing all M&S activity across DAF mission sets. - Planning and coordinating M&S and DE incentives and communication avenues for M&S stakeholders using digital, AI, ML, knowledge management, and data analytics in line with DAF’s digital transformation. - Developing and managing of compliance for ensuring DAF practice (from stakeholders) matches M&S and DE policy.- Monitoring M&S state-of-the art and devising ways to share with stakeholders to keep DAF up to date on technological advances.- Designing and sustaining a curated library of models and simulation elements for access by distributed stakeholders across DAF.- Providing a straightforward entry point for DoD, industry, academia, and allied nations to cooperate and collaborate with respect to M&S and DE.
